Quahog, Rhode Island is a fictional town in Providence County, Rhode Island, in the United States on planet Earth. Quahog is the main setting of the animated comedy show Family Guy, which has been on the air since 1999.

History

Quahog was founded by Griffin Peterson in the 17th century, after he was exiled by King Stewart III. It is named after a type of clam.
